Your current residential address in Norway is very important. All official correspondence from Norwegian authorities is sent to the address registered with the Folkeregister. When changing your address or returning to Poland, it is essential to report it to avoid correspondence being sent to an outdated address.

If you want to work in Norway, you must notify the tax office of the address where you can receive correspondence. It is also important to keep authorities informed of any changes. This is crucial as you will receive documents like the preliminary tax return (Skattemelding), MinID codes for the Altinn system, annual tax assessments (Skatteoppgjør), tax refunds issued by check, and correspondence from NAV and Helfo at the registered address.
When should you contact the tax office?
